When my wife and I were trying to figure out what to do with our rehearsal dinner before the wedding, we had trouble picking a spot. We could have chosen some fancy hot spot to gather with the family, but that s not our style. Instead, we decided to do a bar crawl as our event. And that crawl started at Nepenthe Brewing Co.
We started there because Nepenthe has become a favorite spot of ours in Hampden. It sits right on Falls Road on the corner of The Avenue. It has become a place that we bring all visitors to see. The atmosphere and employees are great. And the overall vibe is great.

In July 2016, Caroline Hammond decided she was going to stop playing it small and start changing the world.
In the beginning of Hammond’s eight-year relationship with the man who would become her abuser, it was all candy and flowers. By the end of their relationship in 2016, he had cut her off from communication with loved ones and was abusing her verbally and physically both in public and in private.
The Colorado Weedery has submitted an application to the town of Palisade to move its retail marijuana store from its location at 125 Peach Ave. near downtown, to the Grande River Vineyards, 787 Elberta Ave.
Moving the retail location will require review by the townâs planning commission and final approval from the Board of Trustees, Palisade Community Development Director Brian Rusche said. The move will require a conditional use permit.
âWeâre going to look at it in the context of the criteria for conditional use,â Rusche said. âPart of a conditional use is that itâs not a permitted use unless itâs approved by both the planning commission and the Board of Trustees and thatâs what that process is for.â
